It provides information about the health and safety part of their application.
Companies apply to join the scheme to demonstrate they meet acceptable standards
of health and safety compliance.
Constructonline
This website aims to provide a ‘one-stop shop’ web-based resource for all aspects of construction waste, by keeping the construction industry informed of industry and construction work related policy, events and news.
The Construction Resources & Work Platform (CRWP) is managed by AEA and BRE,
and is funded by the Business Resource Efficiency and Waste (BREW) Programme. The main priority of CRWP is to ensure the construction industry has a say in how funds are
allocated to improve their ability to be resource efficient. It also aims to improve the
understanding of what services and support is available to the construction industry to
help it become more resource efficient.
The BREW Programme is funded through revenue generated from the Landfill Tax.
The development of this programme, which started in April 2005, ensures that the
additional Landfill Tax will not only incentivise businesses to reduce the amount of waste
they send to landfill, but will also assist them in developing ways to achieve this.
This will mostly be through developing and expanding existing programmes that have
already proven successful.
